Jaipur Celebrates Army Day in Historic Style
An Army Day Parade was hosted in Jaipur for the first time, allowing the event to be more accessible to the public. The city known for its forts and sacrifices made a great backdrop for a drone show honouring the Indian Army’s courage and valour.
The first drone show on January 10 was held to honour the veterans and their lifetime of service to the nation. It was sponsored by SBI and emphasised respect, gratitude, and remembrance. The second show occurred on January 15, the day of National Army Day. This show allowed the story to encompass both the warrior heritage of Rajasthan and the current role of the Indian Army in protecting the nation today.
The combined experience of these shows made the Army Day Parade 2026 drone show one of the most extraordinary military aerial displays ever witnessed in India.
Mahabharat: The Origins of Indian Warfare
The beginning of the aerial drone show was based on the epic, The Mahabharat. As the show started, the sky lit up with a visual formation of Arjuna on his chariot. Maharana Pratap’s visual formation was made in the sky to signify strength and resistance. It was followed by a detailed formation of Shivaji Maharaj which appeared next as an embodiment of courage and self-determination.
The aerial animation next featured a highly detailed formation of Rani Lakshmibai, symbolizing defiance to colonial rule. Lastly, the audience witnessed a visual rendition of Zorawar Singh exemplifying the capability of Indian forces to operate under adverse climatic conditions.
The audience was able to view these warriors in the sky with clarity. The messaging was precise to be able to form an emotional connection with the attendees.
