The drone show lit up the sky above the Aravalli Sun Temple, one of the most ancient sun temples in India, dedicated to Lord Surya Dev. The Rathasapthami festival celebrated 75 years of the Srikakulam district. Thousands of devotees gathered for the prayer ceremony.

With drones creating stunning visual formations in the sky, BotLab honored the Sun God’s bright light in a modern and innovative way through the use of a drone light show. It was an aerial display showcasing old traditions and new tech that came together perfectly to make the evening memorable.

Visual Symphony: The Complete List of Formations

The Srikakulam drone show featured a fleet of drones, moving in perfect harmony to a music score specially curated for this event. The show did not just display lights; it told a seamless story, moving from the local soil of Srikakulam to the national vision of India.

Here is the complete sequence of formations that lit up the Arasavalli sky:

  • Sikkolu Rathasaptami Utsavam 2026: The show opened with a grand typographic introduction, announcing the festival in the night sky with a visual formation of the text “Sikkolu Rathasaptami Utsavam 2026”.

Honoring Local Heritage through Srikakulam Drone Show

Srikakulam drone light show was held to celebrate the completion of 75 years of Srikakulam district. The drone show became a beautiful way to celebrate the proud history and rich culture of the district. The area is well-known for its handwoven Khadi handicrafts from talented local artisans, and the scrumptious Palasa cashews. The drones created formations that paid tribute to these ancient traditions. The MoCA Minister and the Srikakulam Joint Commissioner were present at the Srikakulam drone light show. It showcased how much the government values both our culture and new technology. The drone light show also gave a visual preview of Wings India, the massive aviation event going to be organized by MoCA. We used a custom designed background score which complemented the show formations even further. The BotLab Dynamics team did an outstanding job putting the whole show together on such a large-scale. It was inspiring for the audience to witness hundreds of drones adding magic to this particular celebration.

Future of Drone Light Shows in Religious Events

Drone shows have become a real highlight at large-scale religious and cultural events in India. This can be observed at the drone shows for Maha Kumbh, Sumati Dham, and Ujjain Vikramotsav, which were curated by BotLab Dynamics. The drones used in an aerial show are quiet in nature and don’t cause environmental damage like traditional fireworks. The aerial display lets us bring wonder to devotion while upholding the cultural traditions. BotLab Dynamics keep raising the bar with bigger and better performances. The drone show at Arasavalli showed a brilliant example of blending faith, local pride, and innovation to keep India leading the way in creative tech-powered celebrations.
